Water damages can happen in different places in the house but the two most common are on the walls and on the floor. Say your home has this issue and you call SERVPRO of East Mecklenburg / Matthews to take care of it. We would come in and identify where exactly all moisture is so we don’t come in and start taking apart your whole house but the exact areas. What we would do then is take out the drywall and insulation and then take up the carpet in damaged areas of the floor. If there is any standing water we would use a special vacuum to absorb it. Then to help the drying process we would place fans and dehumidifiers to take out all moisture in the walls and floor.
